Summer fun and the start of daycare!

Berkley started daycare today (Tuesday, 6/2). She stayed until about 2pm, when I (Sarah) picked her up so she wouldn't have such a long first day. She did great though - and we survived as parents as well. There are 4 other infants right now - so there are 5 kids with 2 teachers. In 2 weeks though it goes down to just Berkley, a 1 year old, and another 1 year old that will be there from 8-noon each day. There will be just one teacher in the infant area at that point - but at least the counts are nice and small through the end of summer.

Berkley continues to be a sweetheart and is growing so big, strong, and so alert! In the past couple of weeks we've seen such a change in her - she's so much more deliberate in her actions, very interested in the world around her, and loves watching the dog and all the cats! She also rolled over once from her back to her tummy, but she can't seem to remember how she did it. She gets almost all the way over but she just can't seem to figure out how to get her one arm free. Any day now though! She's also discovered that sucking her thumb is a little easier than the whole fist, and has started enjoying time in the exersaucer, which she does at home - and used at daycare her first day too! Such a big girl!
