On Friday, Jan 15 we took Berkley on her first car ride to her scheduled doctor's appointment/check-up. She was back to her birthweight already, which made me feel good that she's getting enough to eat! She measured a little longer than her original length, but I'm guessing it's just the difference in measurement. I can't imagine she was getting taller within the first 5 days ;) She got a clean bill of health though, and we'll take her back again in a couple weeks.
On Monday, Jan 18 I took Berkley on our first mother/daughter outing to have professional newborn photos taken! My best friend Brook works for
Proud to Introduce Photography in Milwaukee, and graciously came to town to take pictures of little Berkley. We met in Sun Prairie at her parents house and it went great! It would take a lot of patience to do newborn photo shoots, and Brook was great with her! Despite breaks to eat, change diapers, and relieve hiccups...she managed to get beautiful pictures that we'll treasure forever! Oh yeah - she also decided to pee on us twice while we were doing the "diaper-free" photos :)
