Snow Days, Walking, and Wildlife

Here are a few photos from the past week with Berkley, all the snow, and a lot of critters outside looking for food! I got a few pictures from the big storm, but it's hard to get the full effect without actually seeing it. Both of our offices were closed for the day, and of course schools and Berkley's daycare. Berkley was unfortunately sick all week, but is gradually getting better with each day.

A new crawling method, now that we're walking

Enjoying our snow day at home together (daycare and both of our offices were closed Wednesday)

Snow piled up against the driveway fence
See my arm straight out (white/blue coat) to show the snow up to my shoulders

Lots of snow along the driveway!

If you look close, you can see the drifts are up to the top of the fenced in chicken coop area - that's a 4 foot fence!
Snow drifts up against the woodshed, and up as high as the top of the cistern (bottom left corner)

Chillin' with Bailey

Practicing gentle petting of the kitties

We NEVER have squirrels around - but this one was eating the (outdoor) cat food on Saturday.  I had to take a picture so Benny would believe me that I saw one. What a cute, fat little guy! I saw him again today (sunday), so maybe he's made himself a home!

Playing with a Pooh riding toy that Mom and Aunt Amy had when they were little

Lots of turkeys munching on the birdseed - we have had up to 30 on multiple occassions!

See the male strutting with his feathers spread - watching over the others...

Here he is again!
